Software engineering for business
We build software that does real work in production — from a single tool to a system an entire department depends on. What gets built follows the problem, not a service catalogue.
Three fields cover most of what we are asked for. They are not separate trades: within a project they interlock, and whatever goes beyond them — custom services, interfaces, systems software — we build as well.
Web Design
Websites, landing pages, customer portals and internal dashboards. We measure on average hardware and slow connections, not on developer machines. What we hand over is code someone else can carry on with.
Software
Programs that run on the machine instead of in a browser – with access to hardware, network and system level. From a tool for a single task to a complete line-of-business application, portable or installed, working offline and without an account.
Development
Software no vendor maintains any more: getting the data out cleanly and repeatably, building interfaces to whatever else you run, and replacing the legacy system step by step – without stopping the business.
How a project runs
It starts with the problem, not the solution: what happens today, where it breaks, what it may cost. From that comes a design with a clear architecture, then delivery in reviewable steps — you see something running early instead of slides. After go-live we measure and refine rather than leaving the result to itself.
What else we work on
That is not the end of the list. These areas belong to it as well and can be commissioned on their own or combined with a project:
Software & SaaS
MVPs, customer portals, backends and APIs — up to your own product with roles, permissions and an admin area.
E-commerce
Shops, checkout, payment and shipping — building, optimising or migrating an existing system.
SEO & discoverability
Technical SEO, local visibility and content that actually gets found instead of merely existing.
Paid advertising
Campaigns, landing pages and tracking — with numbers that show what a lead actually costs.
CRM & sales
Rollout, pipeline, lead routing and data migration — so no enquiry gets lost in an inbox again.
Branding & design
Brand, corporate design, interfaces and design systems — consistent across every touchpoint.
Data & dashboards
Bringing metrics together from scattered sources and presenting them so people actually read them.
Social media & content
Strategy, production and systems that support sales and recruiting instead of just generating reach.
IT security
Finding weaknesses, ordering access, hardening systems — before someone else does.
Which of these makes sense for you is what the project blueprint works out – usually it is not the thing asked for first.
The goal is not to ship software but to leave behind a system that holds: built traceably, measurable in production, and still maintainable when someone else takes over.
The XhaoLab process in five steps
-
Analysis & Strategy
Analyse business goals, bottlenecks and potential. The result is a clear roadmap with measurable priorities.
-
Concept & Architecture
Information architecture, user flow, data flows and integrations are planned for scalability and performance.
-
Design & Prototype
A prototype makes the result tangible early — as a clickable page or interface, before the actual development starts.
-
Development & Integration
We build websites, applications and interfaces, and connect them to the systems already running. Load time and maintainability are requirements, not afterthoughts.
-
Launch & Optimisation
After launch we measure impact, reliability and usage — and refine the system based on those numbers.
All under one roof.
